Lonny the snake whisperer

Well, here I sit on a Monday night, enjoying the cool breeze in my bedroom from the fan! Yes, the fan is needed on a 70-something degree weather day like today!

It was great NOT working today and getting to run around and be outside. This morning, Dad, Brice, and I went to Carlos before Brice had to head back to college. It was fun, but Mom, Chris, and Gavin were missing :( Dad and I waved farewell to Brice and I headed out in search of a few things. I went to the mall and to Khols and got cozy jammies there. They are capri bottoms and short sleeved top, no more long sleeves, at least for now. Chris and I have a little bet (no money involved) regarding the weather. I say it'll get cold and snow again and Chris says no way man. So, we'll see, but I say I'm right, it's a crazy place we live in.

Later I came back home and made meat loaf and little potatoes cut up to be hashbrowns. I had to call my mom for a few tips because I'm a cooking newbie. It turned out pretty good though.
After supper, Chris had a brilliant idea! We went, for the first time of 07' to......Dairy Queen! Chris got a crunch coat cone (which I almost got) and I got a Mr. Misty Float, which is a mr. misty with icecream down the side, it's so good. It was wonderful to spend a good chunck of the evening just hanging out with my amazing husband :)

We came back home and went our seperate ways; Chris to the homework room and me roaming around doing various things.

Ew, I just killed an LB. What's an LB you ask? It's a lady bug. I see them and kill them so frequently that I had to come up with a nick-name for them. LBs invade our place daily, but they congregate in OUR bedroom. LBs are sneaky and nasty. They shimmy their way through non-existent cracks in the windows and perch themselves on our ceiling or behind the blinds where they repeatedly fly in the window making that sick "plunk, plunk, plunk" noise. Eventually I have to get out of bed open the blinds and kill the LB because I cannot sleep hearing the "plunk plunk" and knowing it could come out and crawl in my ear. If it crawled in my ear, I would spaze out, I mean really spaze out. Chris would have to take me to the ER and I would end up on one of those True Stories of the ER shows: The Girl with the LB in her ear. Oh sick, barf, when will they leave? Go back home you little nasty LBs!!!!

Oh let's see what else is going on.....not a lotta. This past weekend was a killa'. I worked Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for a total of 30 hours. Ugh. I had mostly the same patients everyday, so I got to know them well and got into a routine, that's the only nice thing about working consecutive days. One of my patients was quite the character. We'll call him "Lonny" and the story goes a lil' something like this.......

"Hi Lonny, I'm Brianna, I'll be your nurse today"
"I know what you're up to, I know what's going on here"
"What do you mean Lonny?" "What's going on"
"Oh I know (says with knowing look as he wobbles to the closet to get his coat)
"Where are you going Lonny?"
"I'm going downstairs to meet my wife!!!!!"
"Lonny, your wife is out of town, she isn't here"
"DID I SAY SHE WAS HERE? (says in snotty/threatening voice)
"Umm... (trying to think of something else to say that doesn't sound like YES YOU DID, LIAR!!)
"I'M OUT OF HERE" (leaves room and makes way towards locked nurses break room)
"Lonny, that's the nurses room"
"Oh I know what you're up to, you're lying!"
"Lonny, let's go back to your room, we can play cards!"
"No, there are bugs and snakes in my room"
"Lonny, there are no snakes in the Mayo Clinic...."
***Lonny takes of down hall, 2 nurses and a nurse's aide follow the unstopplabe and somewhat combative Lonny all the way to the Mary Brigh intensive care area until a male nurse, who seems somewhat more threatening, convinces Lonny to come back to his room***

Sigh, that was a small example of my entire day with "Lonny".
Eventually we made a deal that he'd stay in his room, we even shook on it, but Lonny did not hold up his end of the deal.

Well, I think I shall go watch TV before I go to bed. I work Wed, Thurs, and Fri evening this week, so I have one more day of freedom.

Bye all, thanks for reading.

Daffodils

I bought $5 worth of daffodils today because I really wanted flowers in the house! They're so pretty and they're almost all open now, as opposed to when I took this picture. I know I haven' t updated in a while, but at least this is something, so here they are! Love you all!

At Work

Hello all. I am in the midst of my 1st of 12 hour weekend overnights. I only do this once every 6 weeks (I know Casey, you think it's every week) Tonight is differnt though, I'm in a close observation room. Basically I sit in this one room all night long and watch 2 ladies. They tend to want to just jump out of bed, in which case they would fall, so I make sure they don't. So far they've been sleeping. It's 2:09am and I've been in here since 11:30. It's an easier job than having 4-5 regular patients, but it's hard in the sense that I sit in one room for eight hours, possibly not doing much at all. Luckily however, the tv has video on demand. I just finished wathcing She's the Man, which was really funny, and now I'm watching Red Eye, which I've seen before and is creepy. I figure I'll stay awake better if I watch a scary movie. My ladies are both snoring, dahhhhh. I have a pill to give at 3 and another at 7, and that's all that's planned. But more things will happen, for instance, they'll have to go to the bathroom and I'll help them turn into a new position in a few hours so they don't sleep on their backs all night. And, that's about it. Ahhhhh, I cannot wait to go home, hug Chris goodbye (cuz he'll go to church) and then get my jammies on and sleep for a while. Hehehe, both my ladies just let out a big snore at the same time and then stopped, ahhhhh, silence.

Today I was lazy. I tried to sleep in as long as possible, so I could stay awake overnight, and I managed to sleep until 11:30. Then I watched tv until 3:00, seriously. I watched like three back to back America's Next Top Model and gymnastics, yes, my favorite sport made a rare televised appearance. It was the American Cup and whaddya know, 2 American's won, yessssss. At 3, Chris and I went to Wendy's for a lil' snack. Then he left for work and I had supper with Mom and Dad. And then I came here, to work!

Man, I am getting really tired. I've already had 3 pops, raisons, cheese, and such. Pop doesn't help, oh well. I could jog in place I guess.

I hope you all are enjoying your sleeping. See ya later alligators. rrrrarrrr.

~Brianna, the night nurse, mauahahah.

You Don't Know Me

This past weekend was a blast.
I went to the cities to see a whole lotta my fav. sport, gymnastics!!!! The highlight, of course, was Saturday night, when my very own cousin Kellie Hemmer competed in individul finals! She did awesomely and her best result was 7th on vault, yes, the 7th best vaulter in all of AA Minnesota gymnastics. That is so incredible. She is now done with high school gymnastics and is actually going to be competing for Winona State (my alma mater, hahahahha) this coming year. Cool huh? I think so.

Aside from my cousin the superstar, I also saw the amazing AA team finals, Roseville won, and I saw both A and AA individuals. There sure are some amazing talants out there, it's fun to see people from around the state. Pine Island, which is only singe A, got 2nd in team for MN, pretty dang good.

It was fun to hang out with Julie, Brad, Jill, and Kellie. I got invited along to stay in the FREE hotel room and get in to the meets for FREE, thank you Mayo High School. We did other fun things, like ate at Subway, went swimming, and ate pizza right next to the crazy Stillwater hockey team who had just won state. At the hotel we were at there were gymnasts and hockey players all over the place. It was funny. The hockey girls are bigger and hit each other and the gymnasts have cute hair and are more poised. hahah.

I ran into a friend from high school's family (Kelli Walsh) her little sister plays for Stillwater hockey. I stepped into the elevator and I saw Kelli's parents and sister and I was like, oh! hi! hahah.

Then we came home on Sunday and I got to spend several hours shoveling out my car. Oh by the way......I GOT A NEW CAR!!!!!! Yeh, I don't think I wrote about this. My poor poor Mazda failed me for the last time. So, we quickly got to looking and researching and with the help of my car smart Papa we found a few to pick from and ended up getting a Toyota Corolla (like I had in high school)!!!! It's kinda bronzey-tan, a 2001, with 65,000 miles, and I got it for 6,200. Not back huh? I almost got a Camry, but then I went with the Corolla at the last second, it's more my style and it's so dang cute. Chris says it's a good cute girl car for me, hahaha. But it is so nice to get in my car and be confident that it's going to turn on and that it will produce heat in under 5 mintues. Also, this summer I won't be sweating to death in my mazda and have sweat marks on my back when I get out of my car because my new car has AC!!! I would put in a picture, but it's covered in snow. I scraped it at least 3 times today.

This week I've been working evenings. Last night was the only good night of the three days in a row. I had 3 easy-goin' men to take care of, all of whom didn't need much. No bed pans, none, YEESSSSS. Ugh bed pans just hurt the back, so tired of it!!! I work overnight's this weekend, barf, so I have one more day, tomorrow, to be free.

Today I hung out with Mom and Gavin and tonight Dad and I went to The Bridge to Terabithia and it was actually really good. I didn't think it woudl be that good, it wasn't all fantasy stuff, it actually had a lot more than that and a really good story to it. I would recommend it, although it was also pretty sad too.....but good.

Now my fingers hurt and I can hardly type. So, I bid thee all farewell.

Boxed Lunch

***Today at work was nuts. I was so busy. I went non-stop from 7:45am to 2:30pm. Then at 2:30, things finally stopped happening and my last hour at work was only slightly busy. Wow though, what a fast day. It flew by. I wasn't the only busy one. We were all so incredibly busy that our charge nurse ordered us all boxed lunches because no one could get time to go on break. Musta been something in the water today though, all our patients were just having issue after issue all day long. Mine were just so needy today and were all having new random problems out of no where. Man, I tell ya. It wasn't a frustrated busy though, just a I have 900 things to do today kinda busy. Also, I washed my hands probably like at least 25 times, so they are now red and blotchy and bumpy, neatttttt.

Also occuring this week, my car is a goner. It won't start and we're not paying another penny to have another 100th thing fixed on my sad sad Mazda. It tried to be good, but it just keeps messin' up. So, today, Chris, Dad, and I went to Zumbrota to look at a car. To make a long painful story short...after much deliberation we decided to make the guy an offer. As we walk in to basically tell him we're buying the car, he tells us the guy who was looking at it ealier had called about 2 seconds ago and bought it. Whatev. So that was just neat and great.

So, now Dad and I are going to Austin and some other town near there to look at 2 more cars, hopefully we will leave with one! It's very hard to live with 1 car, but my wonderful husband has been taking me to work like the sweetheart that he is. Thanks babe.

What else....oh yeh, tonight I got some wedding pictures I ordered to hang on the wall, so that's exciting...and now more even more excitement.......

Tomorrow I'm leaving with the Hemmers to go the state gymnastics meet! Tomorrow night, Kellie, Jill, and I are going to watch the team portion of the state meet. Then we stay over at a hotel and go to Kellie's meet @ 6 the next day. So we'll probably hang around town on Sat, finding little places to look around in. I'm excited! I love watching gymnastics and this is the best of the best of MN, so it'll be awesome, and my cuzzin is a part of it! whoop.

I hope we make it there and back ok, I've heard 12-16 inches if the storm comes our way. Hang on to your hats you crazy Minnesotans, it ain't over yet!

I'm about to go pack for tomorrow while my dear husband work diligenty on his economics. He works so hard. He does homework like crazy, reminds me of my college days.....back in the day.....

I am, unless something changes in the next few days, going to hand in my application for the Winona State Masters program and start this fall takin' a couple classes. Why you ask? Why not I say. I dunno, might be cool.

MMMkay all you hooligans....time's up, I'm out this piece.

My Cousin

Tonight I went to the sections gymanstics meet to watch my cousin Kellie complete as a senior. I LOVE gymnastics, so it's not a drag to watch it for hours and hours, especially when Kellie is competing. She competes for Mayo and is Rochester's high school all-star :) Kellie got 2nd in vault and beam and 3rd in the all-around, out of 8 teams (approx 40 people). So, she's off to the Minnesota state meet on Saturday! It's so much fun to see someone in my family do so well!!! So this is my little tribute to Kellie, my dear cousin and friend....

Kellie and I at my wedding (duh)
Awesome job Kellie! I hope you have fun at state :)

Well, this week has been pretty long, I finally have some days off here. I don't work again until Tuesday. This Sunday Chris and I are going to Austin to see Katie (his sis) for a belated b-day visit. Then we're going to the Hemmer's for Ryan's 20th b-day lil' get-ta-getha'

I'm kinda in a rut, I need to go workout tomorrow to rejuvenate my brain. Working just sucks it all outta me and I only worked Wed, Thurs, and Fri. My job is so crazy. I KNOW that I will not be doing what I do for years and years. I have to do something else. It's just insane. I learn a lot, a help a lot of people, and I do enjoy it, but it's too much to do in too little time. So basically no one gets the care I could give them, because I don't have time for them. Today, my 3 patients all wanted me at the same time, several times. It's ok, it's just hard. Today I felt like I had 10 things to do at once and practically all of those things involved calling people and looking things up in order to do them. I dunno what I'll do someday......maybe I'll go back to school for something else, like deep sea diving. I do like my job though, it's just exhasperating (I don't know to spell that)

I like this song:
When the day is done and there's no one else around, while I'm lying here in bed you're in my heart you're in my head, you're all I need

There's a million voices calling out my name. But you're the one I wanna hear, so make the others disappear, you're all I need

When the morning comes and your mercy is made new, there's a fire in my bones, I'm not afraid to go alone, you're all I need

The sun on my face, I hear you whisper loud, you're still the God who opens seas, every flower, even me, you're all I need.

Have a good weekend everyone.

I Love My Husband

I was lucky enough to be able to spend this evening with my husband :) We took advantage of this special day and went to Olive Garden, a place we've only been to together twice before. It was soooo good. We had a really nice waiter and yum food. Chris got chicken, but not just any chicken, fancy chicken. I got chicken alfredo. We got the salad and bread sticks too, that's always good. Then the waiter asked us if we liked Andes mints and I said yes, and he gave me a gigantic handful of them, hahaha. We did have an hour wait to get in, but we had a nice drive around Rochester. Chris showed me many of the places he's lived with his fam or by himself as a teenager. He's showed me before, but forever ago, before we were dating, so it was fun to see the places he's been. We also stopped in the Christian Book Store and just peeked around and before we knew it, the hour was up and we headed out to eat.

When we got home, my sweet husband gave me a beautiful red rose, a cute lil' teddy bear, some chocolate (yum), and card with a monkey on it (cuz I call him that) and I jewelry box. I was thinking hmm...this cannot be jewelry, he just got me a necklace for my b-day.....but lo and behold I found a beautiful white gold necklace with diamonds and sapphires. It's very pretty and nothing like I have. Chris has quite the gift for picking out jewelry for me, it's fun to see what he picked out. I feel pretty darn spoiled today I must say....

I'd just like to take this opportunity to tell the world that God has handpicked an amazing man for me to love. He's just my best friend in the whole world. I had always hoped and prayed that there would be a person that I could share my whole heart and life with. I didn't know if I'd get him, but God decided to bless my life in a most incredible way with Chris. I just feel like I love him more as we go on :) I also feel so very loved in return.

Love ya babe!

I got Chris a chair for his desk, finally, now he can get off the wooden kitchen table chair :)
He's up there doin' homework in it right now :)

Here are some pictures from today and there will be more to come in my next blog of Chris' siblings, but they're already in Chris' blog, so you've probably seen them already :)

A New Brother and Sister!!!

Today was a very interesting day....

Chris' grandpa, Jim Snow died this past week at a whoppin' 96 years old. This is the father of Chris' father, Gary: who Chris never really knew. Chris and I had gone to Cresco, IA this past summer to see his Grandma Snow and see what we could learn about Chris' dad (who passed away when Chris was 19). His grandma took us around town and took us to see Chris' grandpa Jim at the Cresco care center. He was a funny guy in the later stages of dementia, but seemed glad to have visitors, he played harmonica for us and made us laugh. Chris' grandparents got to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary just before his grandpa passed away.

So, today we went to the funeral. Chris' grandma knew Chris worked at Culver's North, so one of his aunts called him up at Culver's to let him know about the funeral. Today we met a lot of people. Chris doesn't really know any of his dad's family, but they certainly had heard of him. Everyone seemed glad to finally meet him and put a face to the name they've heard for so long. Gary (Chris' dad) has several brothers and sister and we were able to meet many of them, along with Chris' many many cousins at the funeral.

Gary had three other children besides Chris. One is about his age and lives in Georgia, she was not there, but Chris also knew he had a brother and sister in IA that he'd also never met. He had tried to meet them a few years ago, but it didn't work out. However, they were both there at the funeral today! So, we got to meet them! It was awesome seeing Chris see his only brother for the first time. Pretty amazing if you ask me. We ended up getting to talk to both of them, Dustin and Amber, for quite some time after the funeral. They were very talkative and interested in Chris' life. Chris found out that him and Dustin share a few things in common, such as wresting and Culvers! Dustin started working at Culver's a few months ago, so that was a cool coincidence. We got their school pictures, numbers, and emails and have already heard from Amber tonight!

They live in IA, so we won't see them a whole lot, but hopefully we'll get to become closer over the years. I'm still in disbelief that Chris has a brother! They look like they're brothers too, little resemblences here and there, like the curly hair and such. It was a blast to see them talking to each other and to hang out with them for the day

It was so fun for me to meet so many people on Chris' dad's side. I feel like I've come to realize I'll never have many in-laws, where as Chris gains a whole lotta in-laws, but today I feel like I suddenly have a whole new group of them. They were all very kind and glad to meet us. Hopefully in the future there will be little gatherings or something that we're invited to so we can see them all again and get more familiar.

One of Chris' uncles Keith said he would send me pictures of today that he took of Chris, Dustin, and Amber, so if I get them, I'll put them up for y'all to see!

So, Dustin and Amber if you read this, it was awesome to meet you two today :)

Later on tonight, Chris and I went to Culv's (of course) and Chris got to tell some friends there how he met his bro and sis. Then we came home and I got the urge to clean! So, I spent about two hours making our place all tidy, heehee. Then we got a pop at Wendy's, I talked to Brice and Mom on the phone, and Chris did some homework.

It's been a pretty awesome day, I'm very thankful that God arranged for all of us to meet today, under unfortunate circumstances, but nonetheless, a very good day.

Da B-day

Yesterday was my b-day and it was fun!!!

Mom and Dad took me out to lunch at Carlos O' Kelleys, mmmmm, so good. I got free fried icecream!!! Mom and Dad also got me some sweet little flowers...
Thank you Mom and Dad! Then Mom and I hung out for a little bit until Chris came home. I relaxed for a while until he finished his homework. Then we played rummy and went to Macaroni Grill! It was so yummy. I got a piece of cake for my b-day there and a lady sang happy b-day to me in italian! Then Chris and I rented the Break Up, I liked it and Chris thought it was ok, but he did stay awake. I also opened my presents from Chris. He got me the 6th season of Gilmore Girls!!! YES! He also got me a subscription to People! That was totally his idea. He just knew that I liked reading that Magazine so he got me a subscription. He actually bought and wrapped the current People out in stores and gave me that. I was really confused, like why did he give me this one People magazine? Then he explained everything, heehee. He also got me a DVD player for downstairs that also records! So, now I can finally record shows I always miss. For instance tonight I will miss the Office and ER, but now I can record them!!! Yay!!! A million points to Chris also for figuring out how to set it up with all the millions of cords to plug in. He also got me some pretty roses and a really good back rub. I am a lucky girl! I was treated so sweet by my husband and everyone on my b-day.
Thanks to everyone who thought of me! I appreciate you all very much...
Here's some more pictures cuz what's a blog without pictures?

Superhero!!!!!

Jan. 30th, 2007

Today my dear friend Kelsey and I went out for lunch. She came over to get me a little after noon and what did she have for me in her hands......well I think the following picture says it best.....

Flowers! yesssss!

I was very excited. I can never tire of flowers and now my kitchen smells like them, nice nice. We drove our way to Beetle's, a cool restaurant on 2nd street (west of 52). I got a tuna wrap and she got a turkey wrap! One can get free popcorn before the meal, so we did that. On the way back to my place Kels whips out another present. It was a lovely little set of cucumber melon flavored soaps/bath things, FUN! Also, a face mask. Well, more like an eye mask thingy. It's one of those gel filled things that looks like Batman or Superman's mask that can be heated up or cooled. Then it goes on the face and feels good on the eyes! I tried it out and it was fun. I even put it on Chris and he adored it. I caught him wearing it several times today (kiddin'). Thanks for the fun Kels! I love hanging out with you! Here is me liking my mask....

Batman/Superman ready for action.

Later on, I went to Mom and Dad's and ate a very yum dinner provided my Mum. Then I watched Gilmore while the rest of the bunch watched Idol. I like both, so it's hard to chose. Also, Dr. 90210 was on, another fav. show. I like how there's nothing good on Mon, Wed, or Fri. night, but all the good shows are all on at 7 on Tuesday, nice. At least they put ER on Thursday. Hehehe. Gilmore was no big thing, more nothingness....I wish they would hurry up and make something happen! They're draging it out like a soap opera or something.

Ok, now I am going to fiddle around on my computer and use up a good hour or two. See ya all later!!!!!!! Tomorrow I enter my pre-mid twenties....(the 23-24 age group).

Salutations.

My Husband Threw Me a Lil' Shindig!!!

Well, yesterday went from not so great to very fun!

I got up and got all ready for church and then my engine wouldn't start, it was trying so hard, but no. So, I was like, ok, I'll just stay here and read my bible. As I was doing this, my dad came and took me to church. I was thinking okay, we're going to be very late, but ok. Turns out I didn't miss much anyway. The place was packed though. I've never been that late and Dad and I sat in the back on folding chairs! It was nice to see so many people there though. Two kids got baptized so that was awesome as well. Then just the four of us (Mom, Dad, Gavin, and I) went to the mall. Then the parents took me home and Pa took my car to Sam's for a new battery. I waited for Chris to get home so I could use his car to go to a baby shower.

I went to a shower for Melissa, I girl I know from working as Culver's. She introduced me as her managers wife, ahhaha, I like the sound of that. And then someone who doesn't know Chris was like, "Oh, you're Scott's wife?" I was like, "NO!" ahahah, everyone just burst into laughter, because everyone else knows I'm married to Chris and Scott is old enough to be my dad, no offense to Scott or anything, he's a very nice guy. It was fun though, we played little games. I wond slippers and socks for guessing the most baby food flavors. I only got 4 out of 10 right, but sadly that was the best.

Then I came back in time for peeps to come over to our place for a little party. Chris invited the fam. over for cake and icecream for my b-day (which is on Wednesday). This was the first birthday gathering at our place, very fun! Brad, Julie, Kellie, Jill, Gran and Gramps Erickson, Mom, Dad, Gavin, and Susan came, along with Chris and I. It was a nice amount, not too crowded in our downstairs. I got a bunch of neat things from people! I will show ya pictures, but I got a very cool outfit from Mom and Dad along with a PERFECT cookie jar. I have been looking for the right cookie jar and it didn't exist until Mom found one online. I'm particular because we have an awesome cookie jar growing up, so I couldn't just have any old thing, heehee. I also got cute earring to match the outfit. The Hemmers got me a cute shirt from Maurices, earring, some moola, and a little girraffe with angel wings key chain, compliments of Kellie, what a goof, but hey, it's already on my key chain. Susan got me a Valentine's day towel, some monies, socks, jammies, candy!!!! Gran & Gramps Hemmer were sick, but Susan brought their present to me of some money and cozy socks that match my robe :) Gramps and Gran E. got me money and Gran sewed a design onto these clothes for each day of the week, very cute!!!!!! Sorry if I forgot something, but I loved it all! Chris has something up his sleve for me on Wednesday, what could it be??? I dunno.

Mom made two cakes and Chris bought 3 icecream types and it was yum-mee. Susan also brought her famous taco dip!!!! It was so nice to have everyone over!

Now I'm sitting here Monday at 1:23. Chris had an hour break between classes and we went to Erb's. The store is cut in half now so it looks weird, but it still tasted good. Now I have an hour-ish before I must leave for my evening shift, or as I learned from Brad and Mom last night, the "relief" shift, never heard of that, but apparently that's what many refer to the evening shift as. So, I will go work the relief and be relieved that I have Tues/Wed off!!!! Yip Yip Yip.

Here are some pictures, have a wonderful week....

Yay, my fav! Angel food with the special frosting!

Chris and Mom doing the cake/icecream thing.

Chris was very excited to see that the new cookie jar came with cookies!

A Used to Be a Baby

Yo wut up.

Today I did not work and that is all it takes for the day to be wonderous! Although, my husband did have to work, so that is saddening.

I left around 10:45 am to go to St. Paul with my fam. to bring Brice a different mattress, cuz his is old and hurts his back. He took us to a cool restaurant for lunch called Bonfire. It was a really cool atmosphere; I quite enjoyed the ambience (a Reading for College word, yes!). Then I played both Nintendo and Super Nintendo at Brice's place; this my friends, it what true nintendo is. None of this fancy pancy 3-D running in circles crapola of today floats my boat. Please do not make me learn 900 buttons in a specific order just to make a guy do one move. I like making Mario run by pressing both Y and X at the same time. I know many of you think these newfangled games are the best, but please, remember your roots, remember where you came from, hehehehehe. (I'm not this serious) I do like guitar hero a lot and my dear Super Nintendo could not bring us that, so I'll give Play Station a lil' credit.

Next, we left Brice and went to IKEA, cuz I'd never been there. It was fun to look around, but that place is nuts. I bought a couple things though, it was neato. Then we went to the Mall of America for a bit. Gavin and I went on the log ride! YES! That ride is so disturbing, if you've been on it perhaps you remember the giant Paul Bunyan and Ox and creepy fake people singing that creepy song, but hey, it's all part of the fun.

Then we came home and I am about to leave my old house and go home to my dear husband! yipyip.

Welp, that is all, come back so

Sick and Wrong

Hello all you friendly friends.

Here's a fun update:

On Friday, I ate lunch with my mom and went out for supper to Outback with my mom, dad, Brice, and Gavin to celebrate Mom's 25 years at Mayo, she got a gift certifated to a restaurant as a part of her gift. Then Chris came over later and we played games with Mom and Dad.

Saturday I slept until 11:15 to prepare for my overnight shift. Chris and I went to A-bees for lunch and for some reason it just wasn't good to me? Then we went to Target and back home. Chris did homework, then left for work and I laid around and watched Oceans 11. Then I went to work early to work out to try and be more alert. I had time after that to go to the mall and get a Subway. I had about 10 mins to spare, so I went to see if Megan was working and she was! So, I chatted with her for a few mins and headed back to work.

Now, it's acutally Sunday the 21st and here I am at work. Today is three things: Cara's 21st b-day (scroll down for her b-day blog), my uncle Randy's b-day, and the anniversary of Chris and I being married 3 months!

After three months of being married I can say I am very glad I will be married for many many many years to come. I love it! It's the best thing ever. It was hard at first to be away from my old house and room and parents and brothers, but over time it's gotten more and more natural. Now it feels like it's been this way forever. I love being with Chris more. I love seeing him when I go to bed and when I wake up insted of saying goodbye every night. I think we're getting better and better at being married, but it does take effort, but good effort. I'm excited to see how we grow over the years. Even though we're not having kids for quite a few years, we picked out some names, but shhhh, we're not tellin'! hahahaha. muahhahaha. Chris is a very good husband, he's very thoughtful and loving, I feel so very blessed to have him :)

It's also nice that we're in our home town where my mom and dad are like 5 mins away and our friends are pretty much all here, with some exceptions. We're loving our townhome a ton and things are going very good.

I really wish I was home right now! I'm getting to the sleepy stage. It's 2:51 and I don't have any meds to give until 4:00. Once that time comes, things'll pick up a bit and I'll have more to do. So, I have an hour to sit. I had soup, jolly ranchers, and a burrito and pop a little while ago. There are 5 of us nurses here total tonight. 3 of us over here on Joseph and 2 on Alfred. I cannot wait to sleep, ahhhhh, nothin' better after working 12 hours overnight. I'll get to leave around 7:30am, hopefully earlier, depends on how fast the nurse taking over for me gets here.

Hmmm...what else can I say.....not a lotta.

Welp, see ya all later and don't forget to scroll down to Cara's special tribute.

Love, Brianna

The Perm

So, I got a perm, just really felt compelled to. Hmm...it's ok, but honestly, I want my straight hair back, dang. Oh well, life goes on and it's just hair. It's sorta fun, I can do a couple different things with it now, but eh, I'll take straight.
