Jeepers, this is long, RRRARRR

People, people, people...ok, only 3 outta my 12 blog people have updated lately! How do expect me to stall from my homework if you do not give me something to read! heehee. jk, although I do like reading blogs or xangas, whatev. I must shout out to Jill because she mentioned me in her blog. Jill is my super awesome cousin and she is coming to my b-day party, whoot whoot. I am stalling right now because I have to write a paper that I am dreading, followed by making a pamphlet which won't be as bad, follwed by practicing my speech and making a poster for it. Jeesh, I guess I should get going. I'm kinda excited about the pamphlet though, we don't get to be creative very often, so it'll be fun, I'm gonna use pretty colors, heehee. My cousin Jamey made another website for Target, it's so crazy how he can do that....lets see if I can be cool and get the link on here....one sec... freestylelivin.com ok so it doesn't look like it's clickable, but if you feel like seeing what he did you should go there, it's cool! Well, let's see...it's been a busy week, I'm trying to be a student again, it's so hard, but I'm getting back to it. Today I attempted my first IV into a human. I made it everytime into the vein on the models and it was kinda fun, but then the girl I had to do it on had like the tinniest veins ever and it got to the point where I really couldn't even see it anymore, and then outta no where my hand started to shake, dude, I was like, please stop shaking you stupid hand, this in not helping me, so eventually I figured out a way to kinda rest my elbow on my knee or something to minimize my shakyness. I promise you I was not scared.....but I guess my hand decided to shake anyhoo...maybe it was the 10 people forming a semi-circle around me staring down at me....anyyyyways, it didn't get the needle in the vein and I can't try agian till next week maybe, oh well, I tried my best! Someday I shall do it. I will not die until I do! MUAHAHAHAH. I'm trying to think of what else I did this week and nothing is coming to me....I think I just did homework. I worked out a bunch. I miss the gym, so we're becomming re-acquainted. Oh, I know....I had to have my car towed because the back right tire is not rotating. I get it back tomorrow.....the guy said it will not take too long...but there is something wrong with it involving the words calibrator and ....shoot! I forgot the other part! crap....well anyways...oh yeah, roter. So I need a new roter and something to do with the brake. Yeh, this is boring.....but I called and talk to the tecnician guy several times so I am learning a little bit about this whole taking your car to the shop dealio. Heather was kind enough to get me a free tow with her AAA, yay for Heather. Did I mention I have great roomates? Cuz I do. Kelsey and Heather went to hip hop arobics tonight, heehee, so they were just in here showing me some stuff they did, funny stuff. I feel like I have not seen Casey in a while cuz she was in Rochie last night for a bit, HI CASEY! MMMkay, this is getting long and people are getting annoyed, I know this because they tell me. But too bad, I like to type, Heather should know, I happily typed her homework for her one day. hehehehehe, well it was like 10 sentences, but hey. OKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK, 1 more night, 2 more classes and I am HOME for 3ish days, then it's my b-day! fun! 21, man I am old. jeesh. I never thought I'd be so old. Yes, you who are older are shaking your heads...but dude, I'm still old. K, bye all! I love you dearly!
PS: Mom you need to update your blog! You should put in a picture of the room so I can see the carpet! heehee.
PSS: Megan, you also need to update, this is unlike you....I don't know what to say.
PSSS: Heather and Finny, I am proud of you for updating. BYE!
PSSSS: Can you see that I am truly dreading the paper writing?!
PSSSSS: For anyone I did not mention, I am thinking about you and I still love ya even if I didn't write your name!
ADIOS!

Wedding bells

OH MY GOODNESS, I totally forgot to say that I was asked to be a bride's maid in my dear friend Kelsey's wedding. She's marrying Jeff for those of you who didn't know, although I'm pretty sure that you knew. So yeh, that's way fun and I am very honored. Although, this means I will be wearing a dress. Ya wanna know the last time I did that......12 grade prom....approx. 3 years ago. heehee. Also, here is a shout out to Heather cuz she is having a difficult night with stupid classes and them not counting from RCTC and then all the sudden they do count, and well it's confusing, and anyone who's had to deal with confusing things like transferring and not so helpful couselors knows how it's quite stressful! also, she just spilled a bunch of little Christmas bulbs. heehee. poor dear. Heather I love you and it will be ok! :) Ok, this is one of three new blogs, y'all should be proud of me, so scroll down after this one!

Fireplaces, skiing, and IV bags

OK, well this is my third attempt at writing this blog, the first time it didnt' go through and the second time I deleted it by accident. Wow. I wrote a lot about school and Christmas break, but now that I've written it twice I dunno if I have the determination to do it again. Have you ever written a long email to someone and it deletes or your email logs out, yeh, this is what that feels like, grrr. Oh well. Well.....I have started my second semester of nursing. I don't see it being any easier than the first, but it's not supposed to be easy. Two more girls have dropped out in addition tot the three that dropped out last semester! One is my friend Laci, so I'm bummed, but it's what she wants, so it's ok, but she will be missed! I have kinda been a little slacky this week, but I don't feel the pressure yet to get goin', but it'll come, I know it will, so I'm enjoying these less crazy weeks while I can. This year in clinical, we're only going to the hospital for two weeks, but the other times will be spent at people's homes, working with families, so that will be really different, but interesting. I'm interested to see what my fam. will be like. I'm pretty excited, cuz next week I get to put an IV in one of my classmates hands in lab. I am secretly hoping I get the guy in our group cuz he has bigger veins, heehee, jk. I hope I do my mother proud and get the IV in my first time! Well I'll do my best and if I fail miserably I think she'll still like me. My mom is an IV pro I must point out. Let her put in your IV, she gets it every time! heehee. Well I messed around with the IV bags and stuff today and I think I'm understanding it better, there's so many clamps and tubes and bags, and I know it's not that hard, but I just need to do it more, however, I only squirted saline into the air one time! :) yay. Hmmm...well all my classes are basically the same, just version two of first semester classes, but we now have a class called research.....our teachers are trying to make us excited about this class. They are like, "we hope you can discover the joy in researching as we do!" whatev. No one is joyful about researching. I do not wake up and think, man, I cannot wait to reasearch. But hey, I'll do it. I have not started work yet in the computer lab, but it starts on my b-day, the 31st! for those of you who do not know or sorta kinda forgot :) Christmas break was very lovely and relaxing. I only had to actually use my brain once, when I filled out my application to the Summer III program at Mayo for this summer. My family and I went to a really pretty lodge in WI for I think four days. It had an awesome indoor water park (I still love that kinda thing) with lots of water slides, whooo hoo. We also went skiing one day! My dear sweet mother is so kind to go on the easier hills with me so that was very fun, it was a nice place. I was fine and content on these hills, but of course, my dad drags me to the hills of death. At first I thought I was going to die, but I refuse to be so scared of a hill with white fluffy stuff on it, so I did it over and over till I wasn't like shaking of fear :) Things were going great and I conquered my hill fear, then my brothers convinced me to go on a "fun" hill they found that was like shut down for the night so it was all dark and in the woods...ok it was pretty, but, it was not as easy as they described it and due to it not being wide enough I had to like shimmy down sideways and make bird-like tracts in then snow. Okay, I'm pretty sure it was not shimmying, but I wanted to say that. I still like my brothers though, they just didn't know that what was a "fun" hill for them is a flash back of death in Colorado for me! heehee. We also spent time hangin' in the lodge playin' fun games, my fam. is the best :) I'm glad we can still go on vacations! funnesss. I got to see lots of friends over break and that was all very fun of course. I also got to see the process of our family room's big change. My daddy build a fire place made of stones and mortar with his own two hands and put wood up on the wall for a "lodgey" look. It's very pretty. The carpet's comin' in soon and then it will be painted, it's way cool, I'm excited. That room has never been changed and we've lived there like 17 years give or take. Well I am terrified that this will be deleted for the third time! So, I shall go and prepare to watch ER! Whoooooo. Love ya all! Have a wonderful day/night! Love, Brianna M. Hememr
