I Feel "Special"

It all started tonight at about 9:15 pm.

This isn't a huge exciting story, but it's a funny one, and maybe you had to be there...

Jill, Kellie, and I decided to go to a movie tonight. Jill looked up the time for the movie (9:20pm) and so I hung out the girls' house until it was time to go. I saw their beautifully decorated new room and talked to my auntie Julie and the girls. Then, before we knew it, it was time to go to the theatre. We left too late and got there with like 5 mins. to spare. By the time we got tickets and popcorn and such, it was pretty much 9:20, so we're like oh well, we'll just miss previews. However, when we got into the theatre, previews hadn't even started, so we were excited to have not missed a thing. We also noticed that we were the only ones in the theatre.

We got to chit-chatting and suddenly realized, about 10 mintues later, that the movie had not yet started. We just thought it was running late and kept on talking. About 5 mins. after that, I thought maybe we were in the wrong theatre. So, Jill went to check to make sure about that. As she was checking, Kellie checked her ticket stub. She comes to discover that the movie is not at 9:20, it is at 10:30!!!! We were like, oh wow, no way.

I am sitting there wondering why no one said anything. The ticket seller lady didn't find it strange that we were an hour early, neither did the ticket ripper guy, and he watched us go right into the theatre! They were probably like, wow, I guess they really wanna make sure they get a seat.

Then, as we're discussing what to do, a cleaner guy comes in the theatre. I felt the need to tell him what happened, while Kellie and Jill are giggling. I thought I should tell him, since I figured he was wondering what in the world we were doing in there. However, as I am explaining things to him, he just looked down, as if he couldn't hear me, and left! It was extremely akward, yet very funny.

We decided to go to Hy-Vee for a while. As we were leaving Chateau, I explained to two of the workers standing near-by what had happened. I wanted to make sure it was ok we came back and could bring our food and pop back in. They just looked at me like I was the biggest freak ever. They did not even crack a smile or grin at all at this crazy story. They were like stone-faced and just sorta nodded. Wow, people at Chateau should get sense of humor. Haha. This just made us three laugh even harder.

So, we went to Hy-Vee and came back to the movie with no problems. The theatre was packed, we thought it was funny that earlier we thought we'd be the only one's at the movie.......oh dear....how crazy.

Kellie and I are blaming Jill for this, haha, poor Jill. But it was funny. We felt super cool.

That is my story and now I must sleep. Goodnight.

Anti-blogger

Hello, I have been an anti-blogger lately. It's because I'm so busy. I'm not complaining, it's just true. If I had anytime to blog, it would be when I'm going to bed, and I would rather go to bed, so that's that. However, I am done with work for the week and have 3 days off so here ya go.

WORK:
I just finished my 3rd week on the floor. It's so crazy. I am a real nurse responsible for real patients. I am with a nurse preceptor until September, so I am learning all day long from her. I have gotten pretty good at the complicated massive online Mayo charting system, it's insane, but very organized. I am also pretty good at giving meds and ok at hooking up IVs, but need more practice there. I am responsible for assessing patients and noticing changes in them. Based on changes, good or bad, I have the responsibility to make changes in their plans of care. I am slowly getting the hang of things, but I realize that there is a ton a don't know. Pretty much everything I do is new to me and I am confused about it. Luckily my preceptor is patient and good at explaining things to me and letting me do things on my own. I have never been on an orthopedics floor before this job. It's a lot different from other floors in that most of the patient cannot walk or even move at all, since they just had hip surgery, broke spinal bones, or broke three bones and lost a leg, etc. So, it's a lot of lifting people and using co-workers for help. It's cool that there is such good team work on our floor. So, that's a little summary of my new working life. I got a paycheck and it's nice, pretty much equal to what I made in 6 weeks last summer, haha.

FINDING A HOME:
I have also been quite busy in this area. Chris and I have found a realtor (my old piano teacher) and she is awesome!!! First we looked at houses. Then we decided that the houses in our preferred price range mostly need a lot of fixing up, and we're not too excited about buying a place that instantly needs to be fixed. All houses in our range are old, old, old with sick old basements. Blah. So, now we're on the search for a townhome. We like the idea of buying something, if we can. We have looked at a bunch and have narrowed it down to a couple. We're going to look at them again tomorrow. The cool thing about townhomes is that we can get one much cheaper than a house, but they're acutally nicer. They probably don't increase as much in value over time as a house, but what can ya do.

WEDDING STUFF:
Um, I have a lot left to do in this area. I am going to try to do my registry this week. I have so much running through my head of all the wedding stuff to plan. It'll take a while....oof dah.

Welp, I think mom and are now going to Bed Bath and Beyond to do a little preliminary look at what I should register for. Also, she just announced to me that it's supposed to be 100 degrees on Mondy, wow. That should be nice. I'll have my own personal sauna in my car, fun fun.

I hope you all are having good summers! Hopefullly I'll see you soon!
Love, Brie

Oh, so fun.....

Chris brought me flowers, just for fun. I was so excited, I love flowers. He picked them out one by one and made the arrangement himself :) Thanks Chris, I love you. :)

I heart orientation.

I know I need to update, but I keep putting it off. So, I'm behind now....

Okay well let's start with the nursing info.
I am in the midst of my second week of orientation. These first two weeks are just a lot of speakers and computer training. All the new nurses are together and we made one trip individually to our respective floors to meet our nursing preceptors. Mine preceptor's name is Erin and she is very nice, so that's good.

I had to do a lot of weird things last week, like choose a health insurance plan, designate Christopher Lewis as my beneficiary, plan for retirement, and realize I now have life insurance and lemme tell you, I am worth a whole lot, hahaaha. (just bein' silly)

It's been a long process, I feel like last week was as long as two weeks, we're getting very tired of these long 8 hours day. But we remind ourselves we're getting paid to listen to speakers, and then it doesn't seem so bad.

I am very impressed with the Mayo Clinic. It's beautiful for one thing. It's extremely well organized. It feels good to work somewhere were I know there are tons of people who really know what's goin' on. The place is amazing. They also treat us new peeps like roalty practically. I feel very welcome and happy to be working there. I have not met a single un-kind or even slightly rude employee in the whole place at any time I have been there. There was even a "Welcome Brianna Hemmer RN" sign up on my floor!

I have to park at Walmart and ride a shuttle to St. Mary's. It takes a lot of senority to actually get to park anywhere downtown, but I don't mind, it probably even saves me time this way. I feel so weird walking around downtown in my navy blue scrubs. I don't feel like I'm "one of them", but I guess I am. I'll get used to it in a few years, heehee.

I am starting to not feel so incredibly lost. One of the first days we got a bus tour downtown and by St. Mary's. It was kind of funny, a tour, in the town I've spent my whole life in, but I gotta tell ya I felt like a tourist. The area by the clinic is still confusing to me, but not as much.

I met a girl in my orientation that is starting on the same floor as me, her name is Anne and she is also very nice. I'm glad to be starting on the floor (next week!) with someone else who is new. I have my very own locker and mailbox, cool huh. I also have a badge and a name card swipey thingy that lets me in places here and there.

Hmm..well, I shall tell you more later I suppose, I don't wanna make this too long.

Aside from nuring, I went to the Minnesota Zoo with Chris and two of his sisters, Katie (24) and Laura (10). It was a lot of fun, I love zoos. It was crazy to see girrafes and animals like that that you don't ever see around here, obviously. We skipped the "farm" portion of the zoo. Seeing chickens, cows, and horses just wasn't very thrilling, heehee.

I also went to some movies, such as "Click" with Brita, "The Devil Wears Prada" with my mama, and something else too, with Cara, I just can't remember what...hmmm...well anyhoo, I've done some other things too, but I can't remember.

Now I am enjoying that fact that tomorrow is the 4th and I dont' have to work, YES! It's my holiday off, heehee. So, I will be at Gran's, with my lovely family and then we shall see the fireworks!!!

Love you all!

I am a registered nurse!

Hello all, I just thought I would inform you all that I PASSED my nursing boards! I checked online last night and it said "pass". So, now I can relax, ooofdah. I finally feel like the school life is over, no more studying non-stop!!!! Now I have about a week break and start my 10 week orientation on Monday the 26th. Thank you all for praying for me and supporting me through it all! I love you all! So, yip yip, I'm done! It's so weird, I guess I can say I'm a nurse now, haha, cool.

Mommy and Me

I don't really like CFDMD, but we're out of Diet Coke!!!!

Hey guys.....I just updated recently, but I thought I'd do it again. I was inspired by some of you who gave good updates recently.

Wait a minute.....I have nothing to update!!! I am the same, blah.

I am still studying, this is the week of un-fun-ness and waiting waiting waiting. I am studying now, just taking a lil' break.

On Sunday, my whole family plus Chris and Jenny went out to eat at Macaroni Grill, did I already write about this? I hope not. Dad will have worked at IBM 25 years this Thursday and therefore he gets to take people out to eat as a gift, so he took us all out to eat noodles. First we had yummy bread, mmm mmm. Then I got spaghetti, it was soooooo good, I would get it again. Also, you can draw on the table cloths there, so we doodled a lot and tried to draw pictures of each other.

Yesterday, Monday, I studied a lot, like all morning until like 5 or something....ahh, my brain. Then mom made a cute lil' supper for her and I and then we went and watched Gavin and Dad play softball for church. Sadly, we lost by 4 I think.....sadness. We've always had like the best team in the league for years and years, ever since I can remember, but I think the team is starting to break up a bit and new people are coming, I guess it can't last forever! But, they're still good, its' always fun to watch. After that we played b-ball outside and such and then Chris and I went to X-man III. I have only seen parts of the 1st one, so I thought I'd be bored or a little lost, but I wasn't. I thought it was really good and I liked it a lot, whoot whoot. It was fun.

And now, here I am, waiting for Saturday to be over with. Today, in like an hour, I need to go take Gavin to Northgate for driver's ed, wow, seems like I was just doing that. Then I will work out at some point and go pick him up at 4. Then I will study for the rest of the day. Ya know the sick part about all this studying? Even though it seems like I'm doing a lot, I'm really not, I will not even get close to finishing all that I am supposed to finish before the test. But jeesh, there'e nothing more I can do! I'd need like another three months or something, and I am not studying for that long! BLAHHHHH.

Okay, I will not talk about that anymore, but if you are dying for more details on my studying you can email me and I will give you a very descriptive version of what I've done so far, heehee.

MMMkay, better get back to my stuff. Hope you all are having a good week. Adios.

Sincerely, Brianna

Read my blog, you'll like it.

I just tried to put something cool in my blog, but the website wouldn't work, even though it said it would!

Well, not much new with me, just studying for the NCLEX and fitting in more fun things here and there. I'm tired of learning lots of stuff in short amounts of time, but I'm trying.

I'm excited though, so take this test and, hopefully, be done studying nursing for a while. I know I'll still be learning, but not for hours at a time, reading out of a book.

I don't know what God has planned for me in the next couple weeks here, but I'm excited to find out. His thoughts and ways are higher than mine, which is a good thing, such a very good thing. It's such a relief to remember that I can relax and be content in knowing the creator of the world has throughly thought out my life and I can be confident in His plan for me!

Last week, on Saturday, two very awesome people who I have the pleasure of knowing, married each other! Congratulations Jeff and Kels! I got to be a bride's maid and stand up there in church and be a part of the wedding. What a cool experience. It went so well, I don't it could have been better. It was fun to be with Kelsey all day and help her get ready and hang out with the other girls. It went so smooth. Casey and Heather were there to run around and "attend" to things and they did a very good job. The wedding was beautiful and very touching. The reception was fun and so was the dance. Kelsey had people sing songs with the word "love" in them in order for her and Jeff to kiss (insted of the glass tinkling thing). This plan seemed to backfire, because people had a blast singing songs (i.e. my finace, heehee) Chris sang at least 4 songs by himself, what a hoot, he was microphone happy. It's funny, I would rather shoot myself in the head than sing alone in a microphone, but Chris is trying to think of as many love songs as he can so that he can keep going up and singing alone in the microphone. Heehee, we're a lot alike, but I also love how we're so different too, it's entertaining that way :) Kels and Jeff, I think, are back from their honeymoon today or tomorrow. So, now, they shall finally live together in their cute condo.

Yesterday and today were pretty fun, in between reading my NCLEX book. Mom, Susan and I went to Westfire to eat lunch! It was yummy and fun to see Susan. I also got to hang out with Chris for a lot of time, like for more than 2 hours at a time, so that was nice. I don't think we went anywhere really, but I have the best time with him in whatever we're doing. Today, he attacked me in the yard and I got grass stains. No one could hear my cries for help and I had to climb to the top of the monkey bars for safety. I tried very hard to chuck him in the grass, but I cannot. I need to go lift more weights so I can have a fighting chance. Heehee.

Today my fam., Chris, and I went to Nate Dietzman's grad. party. It was fun. Congrats Nate. I'm so proud! Later, Jenny came over and we all got pizza, except Gavin, who was out crashing grad. parties with his friends. Fifteen years olds....jeesh. Gotta love 'em. It's that year before they can drive that they get really creative with what they can do and where they can go on foot.

Later tonight, a little bit ago, Gavin and I watched Glory Road, good movie, you should watch it.
Now, I am very sleepy, I am so excited to get all cozy in bed and watch TV for like 5 minutes and then fall asleep.

Tomorrow shall be Sunday school, church, studying, and out to Macaroni Grill with Mom, Dad, Brice, Jenny, Gavin, Chris, and I. My dad gets this meal free for all of us as a gift for working at IBM for 25 years as of this coming Thursday. Congratulations Dad!

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and week to come. May God bless you and keep you safe and healthy.....and heal those with mono :(

Love you all!

Chris felt left out... Posted by Picasa

I will not stand for this....there is a mouse in my house!!!

Hi people. I know some of you are sick of the picture of my mom and I, so here's somethin' new for you to look at. I have some cool pictures, but I will put them up later possibly once I figure out how to get them to "my pictures" from Picasa.

So, I am officially home for good. I have done tons of cleaning and organizing. I have gone through everything I own and have had to figure out what to keep, sell, or throw away. I felt like I was on Clean Sweep, if any of you ever watch that show. Now my dresser can hold my clothes, by closet has regained it's purpose, and my floor is able to be walked upon.

We're having a garage sale on June 24th featuring my clothes and etc. I managed to get rid of like 10 books out of the several hundred. My books are one thing I just want to keep for now. I also am keeping lots of my barbies, I just gotta. I am however getting rid of my collection of belts that I had as a child that for some reason I have had in my closet forever. So, if anyone wants some sick neon green or pink belts or some cool suspenders with pink shoes and bows on them, lemme know. I can hook you up.

Hmm..oh yeah, the first two weeks outta school I was studying during my nursing boards class. I will start studying again soon, cuz the NCLEX (nursing boards) is comin' up. I start working June 26th, depending on the results of my NCLEX.

Oh what else. I have managed to hang out with Casey and Heather a bit, my family, and that cool guy that lets me hang out with him (Chris, hehhehehehehehehehheheeheheheh)
I went to the Divinci Code, Poseidon, and something else...hmmm...well, I went to Stick It (the gymnastics movie) three times, whoot! I'm so buying that.

Last night Gavin and I went to Wally and I bought one of those $7.50 movies, The Family Man. Chris, Gavin, and I watched it and were later joined my Mom and Dad. Then, with about 15 mins left in the movie, I saw a small monster/mouse-like creature run across our floor. It had about 3 trillion legs and moved like lightning. I freaked out, seriously, how nasty is that, this huge sick bug is in our house. Dad is all like, "yeh, I've seen a few before, but they usually don't come out in the light." No one seemed to care too much that this freakish mouse-bug is running around. So, I stood on a chair for a while and then.....it came again! It shot across the floor right by me! AHHHHH. I didn't have time to find something to destroy it with, so it got away. So, then I sat on the fire place hearth, on high grounds. The monster remains loose in the basement and my mom says whoever presents it to her "dead" wins $10. So, I'm keeping my eyes open and walking on my tippee toes until it meets it's doom. UGH, **shudder**

Welp, I'll stop here cuz if this gets too long people psych themselves out and don't bother reading this. So, have a great day and a pleasant tomorrow and may you find rainbows, sunshine, and butterflies wherever you may go. And may you not find sick mouse-like bugs with 9 quadtrillion legs.

bye friends, until next time...

I'm an alumni

Hello. I just thought I'd give you all a quick update on my life.
I graduated last Saturday. It was fun. weird though. The ceremony was long and boring. I was entertained by my fam/friends doing strange things in the audience. Afterwards was fun. We all met at the clock in the center of campus and took pictures. Everyone was there, Mom, Dad, Brice, Gavin, both sets of grandparents, Susan, Megan, Cara, Kels, Casey, Heather, and Chris :) It was lots of fun. We all went to Culver's and had lunch or supper whichever that was. I got nice presents/$/cards from the lovely people in my life. Thank you everyone!

Now this week you'd think I'd be free, but I am not. I have my Kaplan class this week, which is a class that help us prepare for the NCLEX, my nursing boards. I actually need to be studying right now, ugh, it's very hard to do, but I have to, blah. I have class until next Wed. but I'm checking outta East Lake tomorrow, so I'll have to drive to Winona Mon-Wed.

This is my last night here and I am officially on my own. My roomies both checked out today :(
Pretty much right after Heather left water was spurting out of this thing outside my window and there were no people there. I'm talking tons of water just shooting out onto the sidewalk and grass, then the fire alarm goes off, then stops, then goes off. So, I left my room and so did our building's RA, Collette. We went downstairs and this guy told us they were just testing the alarms, jeesh. It was then that we realized it is just Collete and I left here in this big building. So, pretty much she's stuck here because of me! Ha! JK. She has to check each of us out to make sure we cleaned everything to death. I see spots on my wall, I gotta scrub them off! poo.

Yesterday the three of us cleaned like crazy. All I have left to clean is my own room and the shower. I also have to vacuum one last time. I have class 8:30-12 tomorrow then I go! Whoot. Then I get to study all weekend!

Welp, I better go start reading up on stuff. Wish me luck.
Oh, I should also announce in case there are people who don't know, that I got a job! However, I cannot start my job until I pass the NCLEX, so if I do, I will be starting June 26th. I'm on an orthopedics floor at St. Mary's, can you believe that? It's crazy. I've always wanted to work there, since as far back as I can remember, it's strange that it's so close now. Whew, I'm just glad I don't have to do another interview.

Mmmkay, everyone have a good day. Congrats to my fellow graduates and to everyone else who finished another year of school!

Love ya all, Love, Brianna

PS: I just realized I'm not on summer vacation, I'm on.....well, I guess I'm in the "real world" now or something, heehee.

Waiting

Hello. I am waiting for my graduation pracitce to start. I am supposed to go line up by Sanbourn and Main street in about 10 mintues. I saw the early session people practicing and it looked quite boring. But, I guess we better practice standing in lines and walking to our seats, otherwise we will have mass chaos tomorrow. Wowee, I graduate tomorrow, weirdness. Tonight I have the pinning ceremony that they do for nursing, then tomorrow at 2 it's graduation, fun fun. All my peeps are coming! Like my parents, my brothers, possibly all three of them, grandparents, Christopher, Cara, Heather, Casey, and I think Megan and Kelsey, yip yip. We're probably going to go eat at Culver's afterwards, where else do ya go when you're in Winona? But we all love Culv's so we might as well!

Well, I think I've spared enough time now, I better get out to my "spot" and wait in a line. Mmmkay, good luck to all of you with finals and such things. See ya soon.

Hello all. Welp, I'm done with all the work, whoot whoot. Now I just have the pinning ceremony and graduation. I thought I'd put some pictures in here that I have of nursing people over the past two years. I'll probably have new ones soon, with graduation and stuff, but here's some from last year and this year!

I Can Hardly Believe It

Well, it's crazy to say, but as of tomorrow around noon, I am finished with all assignments, papers, group projects, presentations, test, etc. for my bachelors degree at Winona State University. All I have left is a presentation tomorrow and I AM DONE. It's amazing. You never think you'll be done with school, it seems so endless.

I remember being in high school, thinking about that day soooo far away when I would be done with college. I even remember thinking that in elementary school. And now it's finally here. It's bittersweet, because I love it here. I love Winona, East Lake, my roomates, the college life, and overall, even school, nursing school itself. It's strange to end something I've been doing for so long. I have been in the same room with the same 55 kids for 4 semesters total. We've done everything together. And now, it will never be like this again.

I will miss Winona, my friends, my teachers, my classes, everything, that's the bitter part. But, the sweet part is even better. Even though I love it here, it doesn't mean, if given the choice, that I would want to stay and continue on with school. I'm excited for what is next! I get to go back to Rochester and start a new part of my life, which I think, is gonna be more of the "real world" part of my life. I just had an interview for a job, I'm getting married, and all that comes along with being on my own! yikes... but fun. I'm so excited. So, in conclusion, I'm sad to leave what I love here, but I'm even more excited to leave and do the new things.

I've been in school for 17 years. For as long as I can remember, pretty much, I've been in school. Basically, the new year starts in September, but now...September will come, and there will be no new grade that I'm in! How weird!

As new as it will all be, I think it will instantly feel like normal. The second I leave here, the sad part will go away and I'll get used to being back in Rochester really quick. It's kinda like when you leave high school, it's so sad and you'll miss everyone, but then it's finally over and you realize you really don't miss it all that much. At least that's how it was for me.

So, anyhoo, I have one presentation left. After that I have the nursing pinning ceremony and graduation on Thursday and Friday. I also have practices this week for both of those.

So, on Friday I graduate. But, then, the 8th-17th, I have class everyday in Winona from 8:30a to noon to prepare for my nursing boards, the NCLEX. So, I will still be studying...

Welp, I spose I should go to bed for the last time before a school day. Whew, it feels good.

Papers and Squirrels

I would just like to extend my sympathies to all of you out there you have to write a paper, or papers, before the semester ends. I am writing one now and I HATE IT. There is nothing worse. Well, there is one thing that is worse: group projects, but this is a close tie for the worst. I am writing a paper for maternity. I am interested in the topic, but I hate the process. I am at the point right now where I have about 15 articles, all highlighted with stuff I want to use. I have no idea where to start trying to organize it. I think I will just copy and paste the info. on and just hope the teacher doesn't notice, hahahha, JK. It's so nice out! I am so ready to be done! Ahhh. This is my LAST research paper of my four year college journey. I have another paper to write, but it's one where all I have to do is write what I think, I don't have to research. So, I guess it's not so bad. BLAH. I just wanna go rollerblade around the lake.

Chris decided on the spur of the moment that he wanted to come have lunch with me. So, he came around 10:30 and we met at Winona Sandwhich Co. It was yummy. Then we just walked around for a bit and then he had to go cuz he has to work today : ( Now I am here, in my apartment, trying to write.

There is a dead bird in the parking lot, I can see it from here in the living room. I think it's a Robin. I do not feel sorry for this bird, because, knowing the shifty Winonan animals, I know that this bird did not get hit by a car, it either hit the car or most likely, just simply flew itself headfirst into the ground. Just ask anyone, the animals here are like no other animals. They are FEARLESS. Imagine yourself riding your bike down the sidewalk. In the distance up ahead you see a bird. You know the bird will move once you get close, because that is what birds do. However, as you get closer and closer the bird in not moving. You're about 2 cm from the bird. In a instant you have to fling yourself off the sidewalk, scraping your face on a bush and almost falling off your bike, just so you don't road kill the bird. You look back and the bird is still there, unfazed, the bird never even flinched. Now, same scenario, but you're on a bike trail, up ahead is a squirrel standing up on it's hind legs with it's little arms up (bunny hand style). You know, based on your experiece with Winona animals, that this squirrel is not moving. But, you're not gonna give up, you ride straight at the squirrel, but it stares you down, it knows it will win. And of course, you're forced to ride your own bike off the trail to avoid hitting the squirrel. Another thing the squirrles like to do besides refuse to move, is that they like to get closer to you. You can be walking by a squirrel and it will run at you, not away from you, same with birds, except they fly at you, not away. The ducks don't move either, they just sit there, you could run them over with your bike if you wanted to. There must be something in the water, but let me tell you, these are true stories, so be aware, when you come to Winona, that the animals are not like normal animals, they are very "special"

Ok, must write paper now.
Happy Easter.
Bye!!!

Not Much

Hello everyone.
It's Saturday and I need to write a paper. It's sooooo boring, I'm dreading it. So, I am stalling for a while. This week was weird I keep thinking it's Monday since I was in Rochester in the middle of the week. I had two capstones this past week, both in the day 7a-7p. Both were good and I learned a lot. I don't remember what else I did. I got to hang with my family and see Chris two days in a row. Now I am back in Winona as of yesterday. I went to class and such, then Casey and I got some groceries and went to Culv's with Amie. Then the three of us watched Enough and then I eventually went to bed. It's like 1:30p and I still have my jammies on, but I got up at like 10:45, heeheh. I have been busy since though, I cleaned my room and organized my pile of papers. I have got everything ready to write my paper and I'm doing laundry. Now, I just need to write it! I have zero plans the rest of the weekend. I think I'll just get ahead on homework and apply for a few more jobs. But, then again this paper could take me the rest of the weekend to finish, it's longer than I thought it had to be! Bummer. Well, I love you all and I'll leave you with a cute picture of my fiance doing a model pose of some sort.....

Heehee, I love him.

Surprise for me!!!

Look what Mommy and Daddy sent me!!!!!!

After I blogged my depressing blog earlier today, I realized I locked my keys in my car on campus!!! Yes! So, then after much deliberation, Chris ended up coming to Winona to bring me a spare key because he is a sweetheart. He ended up staying for quite a while which was very nice. Thank you so much Chris! I love you!

Mom could tell my day was not fun and I am stressing about things, so she was being the caring thoughtful Mom that she is and called in flowers for me. They were sitting in the apartment when I got here and Chris was with me so I was like, "Who are these from??" I didn't recognize the handwriting cuz it was the lady from Hy-Vee's handwriting. But in the card I found out it was from my parents!!! I was so excited and it brightened my day, thank you Mom and Dad, I love you guys!!! Now they make my room bright and cheery, yipyip. THANK YOU!!!

Negative

*I suck at school
*I am not smart as I wish I was
*I will not get a job
*I will not pass the stupid NCLEX boards exam my first try
*I don't know how to register for my license
*I don't like this dumb tutor job
*I will never be good at nursing
*I don't ever want to work

Haha, there, I got it all out. I'm in a negative phase, I'll get out of it soon, but these are the things that keep running through my mind. All I have to do is think of one of them and then they all start flying into my brain and then I get a huge headache. Then the next week I'll be like: I can't wait to be a nurse, if I don't pass my test, I'll just do it again, no biggie, and I will find a job eventually. So whatev., I'm ok, but I just can't wait until this is all over. And to add to the fun, all I want to eat is icecream and fast food, but obviously I cannot, unless I want to alter all my dresses 20 sizes larger. All I really want to do is hang out with my family/friends, go to church, get married, have kids, coach gymnastics, have a garden, and go on mission trips for the rest of my life. So, this is my blah blog of the week : ) But praise God for being with me through it all, and all you great people too.

*make sure you scroll down, cuz there's another new blog posting too*

Bye bye.
