My Post for the People

Well hello there friend....

I haven't update in a while so I thought since I got some time now, while at work, I shall update. Two weekends ago I went to Women of Faith. It's a big convention in St. Paul at the Excel and this was my second year of attendence. It was very good as usual. There was lots of good speaker and singers and such. We stayed over night at the Radisson and it was fun sharing a room with Mom, my aunt Julie, and two family friends Cozy and Denise. I also got to see Kelsey and Sharalyn at one point, so that was coolioooo.

The rest of the week was a blur, I know I had a lot to do and a lot to study for.

This past weekend was lots of fun. First of all, I worked for 5 hours on a Friday for a group project and then I was home alone all night cuz my roomies left for various reasons. I cleaned the whole place and got groceries and stuff. Then I watched 50 First Dates and fell asleep in the middle of it at about 3am, I love staying up late! Then I got up at about 10:45 when Mom called me. I did all my homework in the morning so I could go home Sat. night, which I did. Mom and Dad took Chris and I to Timberlodge and it was soooo good, but we got very full. They have scrumtrilicious bread there, mmmm, and mashed potatoes as well. Then Chris had to usher at the RCTC play to get service hours in for his theatre class, so I went along and hung out and then we went to the play. It was called The Importance of Being Earnest. It was one of the best plays I've seen. The actors were so good and they were so funny. I went to church with the fam. the next morning and ate at the mall, yum yum. Then I was going to leave for Winona but my group project got pushed way back for the meeting time, so I decided to stay for my cousin Jill's 14th b-day party. Julie and her mom made wonderful food and Julie gave me things to take back with me, whoo hoooo. It was lovely to see everyone and hang out with my cuzzins. I got back to Winona at about 8 and had a group meeting at 9 and another one at 10, crazy huh? Oh, also at home, my mom bought me two shirts, and hooded shirt and a pretty purple coat as well as new cozy jammies just for a surprise, it felt like my b-day, thanks mama!

Now it is Monday and I just had 4 hours of classes and presentation #1 of the week. Our group went the very first of everyone and there was one group after us today. The teacher said our two groups set a very high standard for everyone to follow, so that's good to hear! It was pretty fun, I always feel a little nervous about being up in front, but once I'm there, I like it. So, now I'm at work and I'm thinking I should start studying for my Friday test.

I would also like to tell the world, because I am so proud, that Christopher got 86% on his last math test, whooot whoooot.

Here are a list of other random things:

  • There are lady bugs in my room.
  • Tomorrow is inspection so I need to figure out how to move my bed since it's in an illegal position in front of the door that contains the heater.......Or, maybe I could just leave it there and see what happens, maybe I'll get expelled.
  • Did you know there is a new food pyramid?? It's very different and I like it better.
  • I bought fruit and vegetables to be healthier and not just eat mashed potatoes for supper.
  • I heard cousin Megan's voice on the computer yesterday, all the way from London.
  • I forgot to mention that I decided to sponser a second child! Chris decided that it would be cool if we did it together and I agreed. So, while at Women of Faith, mom and I went to the WorldVision booth and I got a little boy from Ghana for Chris and I and mom got a boy around Gavin's age from hmm...I can't remember, but I'm pretty sure it's centrel America.
  • There's a boy in here (at work) who has one pant leg rolled up, I'm thinking he's in a gang. I am now entitled to envoke the school's diciplinary policy and prompty escort him out of the room where we can proceed with furthur investigation. Based on my knowledge of gang symbols and paraphenelia, I would say this boy belongs to the East Side gang, yep, I am most certain. Good thing there's a camera in here, I can keep an eye on him.
  • That's all folks. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, so have a lovely day (for those of you who now have the Mr. Rogers song in your head, way to go, because that was my intention....remember Mr. McFealy??? hhahahahahahh, bye!!!!!!!!)

Nice update Brianna. Iam very proud to now be a grandma, I purposely didnt say anything before because I wanted you to tell everyone first that you and Chris have a child. Hee Hee. You will be wonderful parents (for real) someday. Anyway for now I think it's very special that the two of you are helping a child in another country, so he can go to school and get good health care. Wouldnt it be awesome if you could meet him one day.
I would just leave the bed where it is and plead ignorance....it's works for me.

Brianna (3 second pause) you have some choices to make (3 second pause) you can either choose to move your bed and follow the policy or you may choose to not move your bed thereby invoking the apartments disciplinary policy. hehehe

...i'll give you a minute...to think about your choices and i'll know by your reaction the choice that you've made.
