***Today at work was nuts. I was so busy. I went non-stop from 7:45am to 2:30pm. Then at 2:30, things finally stopped happening and my last hour at work was only slightly busy. Wow though, what a fast day. It flew by. I wasn't the only busy one. We were all so incredibly busy that our charge nurse ordered us all boxed lunches because no one could get time to go on break. Musta been something in the water today though, all our patients were just having issue after issue all day long. Mine were just so needy today and were all having new random problems out of no where. Man, I tell ya. It wasn't a frustrated busy though, just a I have 900 things to do today kinda busy. Also, I washed my hands probably like at least 25 times, so they are now red and blotchy and bumpy, neatttttt.
Also occuring this week, my car is a goner. It won't start and we're not paying another penny to have another 100th thing fixed on my sad sad Mazda. It tried to be good, but it just keeps messin' up. So, today, Chris, Dad, and I went to Zumbrota to look at a car. To make a long painful story short...after much deliberation we decided to make the guy an offer. As we walk in to basically tell him we're buying the car, he tells us the guy who was looking at it ealier had called about 2 seconds ago and bought it. Whatev. So that was just neat and great.
So, now Dad and I are going to Austin and some other town near there to look at 2 more cars, hopefully we will leave with one! It's very hard to live with 1 car, but my wonderful husband has been taking me to work like the sweetheart that he is. Thanks babe.
What else....oh yeh, tonight I got some wedding pictures I ordered to hang on the wall, so that's exciting...and now more even more excitement.......
Tomorrow I'm leaving with the Hemmers to go the state gymnastics meet! Tomorrow night, Kellie, Jill, and I are going to watch the team portion of the state meet. Then we stay over at a hotel and go to Kellie's meet @ 6 the next day. So we'll probably hang around town on Sat, finding little places to look around in. I'm excited! I love watching gymnastics and this is the best of the best of MN, so it'll be awesome, and my cuzzin is a part of it! whoop.
I hope we make it there and back ok, I've heard 12-16 inches if the storm comes our way. Hang on to your hats you crazy Minnesotans, it ain't over yet!
I'm about to go pack for tomorrow while my dear husband work diligenty on his economics. He works so hard. He does homework like crazy, reminds me of my college days.....back in the day.....
I am, unless something changes in the next few days, going to hand in my application for the Winona State Masters program and start this fall takin' a couple classes. Why you ask? Why not I say. I dunno, might be cool.
MMMkay all you hooligans....time's up, I'm out this piece.

My Cousin
Tonight I went to the sections gymanstics meet to watch my cousin Kellie complete as a senior. I LOVE gymnastics, so it's not a drag to watch it for hours and hours, especially when Kellie is competing. She competes for Mayo and is Rochester's high school all-star :) Kellie got 2nd in vault and beam and 3rd in the all-around, out of 8 teams (approx 40 people). So, she's off to the Minnesota state meet on Saturday! It's so much fun to see someone in my family do so well!!! So this is my little tribute to Kellie, my dear cousin and friend....
Kellie and I at my wedding (duh)
Awesome job Kellie! I hope you have fun at state :)
Well, this week has been pretty long, I finally have some days off here. I don't work again until Tuesday. This Sunday Chris and I are going to Austin to see Katie (his sis) for a belated b-day visit. Then we're going to the Hemmer's for Ryan's 20th b-day lil' get-ta-getha'
I'm kinda in a rut, I need to go workout tomorrow to rejuvenate my brain. Working just sucks it all outta me and I only worked Wed, Thurs, and Fri. My job is so crazy. I KNOW that I will not be doing what I do for years and years. I have to do something else. It's just insane. I learn a lot, a help a lot of people, and I do enjoy it, but it's too much to do in too little time. So basically no one gets the care I could give them, because I don't have time for them. Today, my 3 patients all wanted me at the same time, several times. It's ok, it's just hard. Today I felt like I had 10 things to do at once and practically all of those things involved calling people and looking things up in order to do them. I dunno what I'll do someday......maybe I'll go back to school for something else, like deep sea diving. I do like my job though, it's just exhasperating (I don't know to spell that)
I like this song:
When the day is done and there's no one else around, while I'm lying here in bed you're in my heart you're in my head, you're all I need
There's a million voices calling out my name. But you're the one I wanna hear, so make the others disappear, you're all I need
When the morning comes and your mercy is made new, there's a fire in my bones, I'm not afraid to go alone, you're all I need
The sun on my face, I hear you whisper loud, you're still the God who opens seas, every flower, even me, you're all I need.
Have a good weekend everyone.

I Love My Husband
I was lucky enough to be able to spend this evening with my husband :) We took advantage of this special day and went to Olive Garden, a place we've only been to together twice before. It was soooo good. We had a really nice waiter and yum food. Chris got chicken, but not just any chicken, fancy chicken. I got chicken alfredo. We got the salad and bread sticks too, that's always good. Then the waiter asked us if we liked Andes mints and I said yes, and he gave me a gigantic handful of them, hahaha. We did have an hour wait to get in, but we had a nice drive around Rochester. Chris showed me many of the places he's lived with his fam or by himself as a teenager. He's showed me before, but forever ago, before we were dating, so it was fun to see the places he's been. We also stopped in the Christian Book Store and just peeked around and before we knew it, the hour was up and we headed out to eat.
When we got home, my sweet husband gave me a beautiful red rose, a cute lil' teddy bear, some chocolate (yum), and card with a monkey on it (cuz I call him that) and I jewelry box. I was thinking hmm...this cannot be jewelry, he just got me a necklace for my b-day.....but lo and behold I found a beautiful white gold necklace with diamonds and sapphires. It's very pretty and nothing like I have. Chris has quite the gift for picking out jewelry for me, it's fun to see what he picked out. I feel pretty darn spoiled today I must say....
I'd just like to take this opportunity to tell the world that God has handpicked an amazing man for me to love. He's just my best friend in the whole world. I had always hoped and prayed that there would be a person that I could share my whole heart and life with. I didn't know if I'd get him, but God decided to bless my life in a most incredible way with Chris. I just feel like I love him more as we go on :) I also feel so very loved in return.
Love ya babe!
I got Chris a chair for his desk, finally, now he can get off the wooden kitchen table chair :)
He's up there doin' homework in it right now :)
Here are some pictures from today and there will be more to come in my next blog of Chris' siblings, but they're already in Chris' blog, so you've probably seen them already :)

A New Brother and Sister!!!
Today was a very interesting day....
Chris' grandpa, Jim Snow died this past week at a whoppin' 96 years old. This is the father of Chris' father, Gary: who Chris never really knew. Chris and I had gone to Cresco, IA this past summer to see his Grandma Snow and see what we could learn about Chris' dad (who passed away when Chris was 19). His grandma took us around town and took us to see Chris' grandpa Jim at the Cresco care center. He was a funny guy in the later stages of dementia, but seemed glad to have visitors, he played harmonica for us and made us laugh. Chris' grandparents got to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary just before his grandpa passed away.
So, today we went to the funeral. Chris' grandma knew Chris worked at Culver's North, so one of his aunts called him up at Culver's to let him know about the funeral. Today we met a lot of people. Chris doesn't really know any of his dad's family, but they certainly had heard of him. Everyone seemed glad to finally meet him and put a face to the name they've heard for so long. Gary (Chris' dad) has several brothers and sister and we were able to meet many of them, along with Chris' many many cousins at the funeral.
Gary had three other children besides Chris. One is about his age and lives in Georgia, she was not there, but Chris also knew he had a brother and sister in IA that he'd also never met. He had tried to meet them a few years ago, but it didn't work out. However, they were both there at the funeral today! So, we got to meet them! It was awesome seeing Chris see his only brother for the first time. Pretty amazing if you ask me. We ended up getting to talk to both of them, Dustin and Amber, for quite some time after the funeral. They were very talkative and interested in Chris' life. Chris found out that him and Dustin share a few things in common, such as wresting and Culvers! Dustin started working at Culver's a few months ago, so that was a cool coincidence. We got their school pictures, numbers, and emails and have already heard from Amber tonight!
They live in IA, so we won't see them a whole lot, but hopefully we'll get to become closer over the years. I'm still in disbelief that Chris has a brother! They look like they're brothers too, little resemblences here and there, like the curly hair and such. It was a blast to see them talking to each other and to hang out with them for the day
It was so fun for me to meet so many people on Chris' dad's side. I feel like I've come to realize I'll never have many in-laws, where as Chris gains a whole lotta in-laws, but today I feel like I suddenly have a whole new group of them. They were all very kind and glad to meet us. Hopefully in the future there will be little gatherings or something that we're invited to so we can see them all again and get more familiar.
One of Chris' uncles Keith said he would send me pictures of today that he took of Chris, Dustin, and Amber, so if I get them, I'll put them up for y'all to see!
So, Dustin and Amber if you read this, it was awesome to meet you two today :)
Later on tonight, Chris and I went to Culv's (of course) and Chris got to tell some friends there how he met his bro and sis. Then we came home and I got the urge to clean! So, I spent about two hours making our place all tidy, heehee. Then we got a pop at Wendy's, I talked to Brice and Mom on the phone, and Chris did some homework.
It's been a pretty awesome day, I'm very thankful that God arranged for all of us to meet today, under unfortunate circumstances, but nonetheless, a very good day.

Da B-day
Yesterday was my b-day and it was fun!!!
Mom and Dad took me out to lunch at Carlos O' Kelleys, mmmmm, so good. I got free fried icecream!!! Mom and Dad also got me some sweet little flowers...
Thank you Mom and Dad! Then Mom and I hung out for a little bit until Chris came home. I relaxed for a while until he finished his homework. Then we played rummy and went to Macaroni Grill! It was so yummy. I got a piece of cake for my b-day there and a lady sang happy b-day to me in italian! Then Chris and I rented the Break Up, I liked it and Chris thought it was ok, but he did stay awake. I also opened my presents from Chris. He got me the 6th season of Gilmore Girls!!! YES! He also got me a subscription to People! That was totally his idea. He just knew that I liked reading that Magazine so he got me a subscription. He actually bought and wrapped the current People out in stores and gave me that. I was really confused, like why did he give me this one People magazine? Then he explained everything, heehee. He also got me a DVD player for downstairs that also records! So, now I can finally record shows I always miss. For instance tonight I will miss the Office and ER, but now I can record them!!! Yay!!! A million points to Chris also for figuring out how to set it up with all the millions of cords to plug in. He also got me some pretty roses and a really good back rub. I am a lucky girl! I was treated so sweet by my husband and everyone on my b-day.
Thanks to everyone who thought of me! I appreciate you all very much...
Here's some more pictures cuz what's a blog without pictures?
