Hello blog readers.....
I don't think there are many of you left out there, but I felt like typing a little, so here's a small blog:
Yesterday I felt especially imprisioned in our 4X4 living room with the two kids all day long, so I said, 'that's it, we're going outside!" So I bundled both kids up, Audrey can do a lot of her own dressing now, so it wasn't too much work, and plopped them both in the wagon. On a side note, my wagon from Gran E (hi Gran!) has been everything I hoped it would be and more. It's the trash transportation system when the walk to the corral with 100lbs of garbage seems too daunting to carry and it's my method of getting several heavy boxes to the garage and back in one trip. Aside from saving my back and easing the load, it's also good for it's normal purpose, pulling kids around! They loved it! Carson sat like a champ and Audrey was excited to be riding with her brother. Afterwards they played in the snow a bit. Audrey and I got a good chuckle out of Carson's indifference to being in the snow :)
A few nights ago, I made tortilla roll-ups for Mops Spa Day, which was this morning (they have to sit in the fridge for 24 hrs). I'm realizing more and more that Audrey is capable of doing so many things! She helped me for a good 1/2 hour spreading the ingredients on the tortillas, she loved every second of it. Doesn't she look like such a big girl in this picture?
We're all so ready for spring, it's getting hard to find fun things to do in the house! Today Audrey put her leotard on and started 'doing gymnastics'. I caught her mid jump, off the paper towel package and over the ring :) Carson is entertaining himself by crawling all over the place and pulling himself up on anything he can reach. He can often be found under the table :)
I was just telling my mom about my woes over how I struggle endlessly with the art of making dinner. She took pity on me and said she owed me a dinner (since she didn't do one after Carson was born, so she says) and brought us supper tonight! It was so fun to not have to waste a thought on what to make! It was a Mexican-ish chicken cassarole, very very yummy! Corn bread muffins too! Audrey thought the muffins were great because they looked like cupcakes :) Thanks mom! Here is her masterpiece!
Today I was video taping Audrey on my phone, per her request, and she got quite the giggles watching her videos back, I love her sweet genuine smile here :)
So there's a random little blog :) I suppose that's all I have to say for now, ta-ta!!!

Thank you for the blog. It is so fun to read about my great grandkids. I'm glad you get so much out of the wagon.
I like your random blogs Brie...always fun!
i LOVE the blog. so glad you took some time to type up a life review. i loved it. keep it up! Oh, and don't forget to use Gina's Skinny Taste for recipes. it's so easy! Full of recipes like the one your mom made you! don't forget that little gem of a website. just plan a few meals on sunday or saturday...get the ingredients you need and then just stick to the plan. it's not a HUGE amount of work. you can do it! :)
love you!
I always love your updates:) I'm right with ya on the dinner thing. I've been in a horrible rut pretty much since Christmas. I finally made myself plan a few meals before going to the store this past weekend. Hopefully it helps in my ambition come dinner time:)
Megan, if I do make something new it's almost always from Skinnytaste. I love most of her stuff, but she also uses 5 billion ingredients for everything and it's a bit time consuming to make her recipes, but they are good!
I cant believe I missed this one, I"m always checking. I love your blogs, even though I see you guys a few times a week I never get tired of your naratives and the great pics of the kids. I LOVE the one of Audrey jumping and smiling at the phone, she is growing up so fast. The pic of you and Audrey was great too, such beautiful girls. Carson is just plain sweet and cute as ever. More blogs please :)
