Summer summer summmmmerrrr!

Wut up peeps. I am on summer break.....but before I talk about that, I should update you on my life thus far, well since my last blog I mean. Beware, this is long, some people, coughcoughBRTIAcough, may not approve :) heehee.
I recently finished my two week May class: "Principles of Operating Room Nursing" this past Thursday. I really enjoyed it and I learned a lot. I got to do and see a lot of new things. My favorite part was putting IVs in people. I got to do it 7 times and I made 5, so the experience was very beneficial :) I also lovvvved watching the surgeries and helping the nurses out with what they'd let me do. One day a Med student was working on a patient with a surgeon and she wanted me to do all this stuff, so I got to help her with the sutures and such, so that was fun. The second week of my class was very hard because I couldn't be in my Winona apartment anymore so I had to drive from home everyday. I pretty much drove there asleep. I think mom's prayers for me kept me from drifting off into the ditch, thanks mom.
Now I am back for good and it's officially my summer vacation. I go in to see my boss lady at Sunrise tomorrow to work out a summer schedule, so that'll be fun. So far I've just been hanging out with the fam, some friends, and Christopher. Last night Chris and I celebrated our 5th mo. anniversary :) by going to the Hubble House in Mantorville. First, I showed him my old house in Kasson, then we played on the swings at the park while we waited to be seated at the restaurant, fun fun. It was yummy there. The waitress was a little, um, I dunno, kinda shifty. We were like, how do you go about getting some of that bread...cuz we saw her bring some bread to the peeps next to us, and she's like, oh, you don't get bread if you order sandwhiches. Whatevvvverrrrrrr. But yeh, it's a cool place. Then we came back here and went on a bike ride, that boy goes fast up hills, heehee. So it was a very fun night :) Right now Chris is in the cities at a Wrestling thing, I forgot the name, but it's a pay per view, so it's pretty cool :)
Today I went to church and the mall afterwards and saw cuzzin Megan and Barnes and Noble, yip yip. Then I've just been hanging out all day, dunked some basketballs with Gavin (I can jump much higher) He may be 6'7" or however tall he is now, but my vertical way surpasses his. I planted flowers with Mom and went to Target, fun stuff like that. I propose that Target be open 24hours like Wally. Well, it's good to be home and I hope to see allll of you this summer! I would like to make a retraction on my blog: I did not see ALLL of my family on Mother's Day because my dear Aunt Jodi, Uncle Darien, cuzzin Sam, and cuzzin Jensen could not come and I was very sad cuz I thought they would be there! Hallo all. Here is an update of my life. The end of the semester was great. We had roomie night and went to Olive Garden in LaCrosse and it was yummmmmy...I hope I didn't already write about this....then we came back here and played my fav. game Cranium, congrats to Heather and Kels on their win. The highlight was Kelsey's drawing of the fern...hmmmm....interesting, very interesting. heehee. Then poor dear Casey had a headache due to an accidental head crash into a chair while acting out something for the game so she went to bed, but Heather, Kels, and I decided we needed icecream so we went to Walmart at 1:00 am and played around in there and came back at watched a movie and ate icecream, well Heather didn't but she had already had some. Anyhoo, the next day we cleaned and did a beautiful job. Man, cleaning the kitchen is quite the job. Then we all went out to Culver's for the last time. Next Heather left and I left a while later. Kels and Casey checked out later that night. I had a wonderful weekend. I got to see alllll of my family on mother's day and I got to hang out with lots of peeps that I like :) Chris came over lots and I got to see my fam. a lot too! yay! Happy post mother's day to my mom, I love you!!!!! you are the bestest. Today I went out to A-bees with Christoph, Mom, and Dad. It was wonderfully fun. Chris and Dad talked about stocks and 401K plans and stuff like that, heehee, they make me lol. It was fun to stay at my house for three night and see my parents and brothers a bunch. I also got to see Bricey throw his discus, whoo whoo, good job child. I am sorry. I am being really random and unorganized here, if this was an English paper I would fail. Well, now I am back at East Lake all alone and it's all empty and clean in here. I have to be in the OR tomorrow at 6:30 am! yikes. Wish me luck, I'm trying not to be nervous. So, two weeks left and it's summer for me! I can't wait! I'll be here till Fri. then I have to move out and drive back and forth for the last week of class. This is my last night until Fall semsester that I will be studying! Well, I may have to study a lil' bit for my OR, but not like this. My last final is tomorrow morn. Thanks to everyone for you support :) Today I studied mostly, but I also watched two Gilmore Girls, I love that show. Then Kelsey came in here (the study lounge) and informed me that I have to go to Culver's with her, Casey, and Heather. So I did, but I wanted to. It's kinda cool, cuz it's our place to go and this would kinda be our last chance, so it was fun. Tomorrow Chris comes to visit! Then Thurs. I have a tour of the OR at the Winona hospital and then it's Roomie night. We're going to Olive Garden in LaCrosse....did I already tell you all this...hmmm....well anyway...then we're sleeping in the living room for fun :) Then Friday I am cleaning and packing some stuff and going home for the weekend. Roomies, I will miss you! It's been an awesome year. Kels, I will miss you lots cuz you're not coming back.......it will be weird and you will be VERY missed. But, I'm really glad I got to be roomies with you for two years, you are partly the reason I even came to Winona! But you will do awesome in Rochie. And you must visit us. Mmmkay, well I guess I should study again or something. Wow, the study lounge just emptied out, it was like a party in here. I like how all year I'm alone in here then during finals week this is the place to be, so I'm forced to put headphones on, but I cannot listen to music with words and study at the same time, so I listen to my Jim Brickman piano cd. I love it, good ol' Jimmy, he's a gifted one. Like me, I'm "special" special like eats-glue- special. hehehehaheaheharhehreahrhaehr. me no likey study. me want cheese like Heather. BYE!

I'm almost a Senior, ooooofffdah.

Hey hey. I am taking a study break and I thought I would shock the world by writing in my blog more than once in the same week. I have been studying two days for my final in Caring Concepts tomorrow. I am not done yet, but I'll stay up till I am. Getting sleepy though, but I usually get a second wind eventually. I have another final in Adult Health on Wednesday and then I am DONE with this semester! YAY! My grades for these classes I have finals in are very on the edge, so I wanna do good on my finals, yikes! On Friday, Kelsey and I decided to go to Applebees in LaCrosse, it was super fun and we also went to the mall there for a bit and they had a Gloria Jeans!!!!! Who misses GJ in the Apache Mall? I DO! I was very excited and got my fav. drink from there. I remember when my cuzzin Megan worked there and she gave me free tastes of stuff, that's how I discovered that I liked it! (Yay, thanks CWMP) Then last night I went to the last Breathe of the year. It was supposed to be outside but since MN is an eternal winter, it was moved to the church. Heather and I went for the free food and then Kelsey and Jeff came later to the music part. Lots of peeps came, it's always fun singing to God, so it was a good night. Kels, Heather and I went to church this morning and then to Subway and I've pretty much been studying since, except for the pizza break cuz Heather got a free pizza, thanks pallio. I'm excited, on Thursday, we're having roomie night and we're going to LaCrosee to Olive Garden and sleeping out in the living room (this plan in not set in stone, but hopefully it will be) (Meghan and Heather....I would like to say that it's set in standstone or possibly limestone, but for sure not granite) Kelsey and Casey have taken lots of stuff outta their rooms and it looks weird and empty, sad..... Heather and I haven't moved much cuz we're (at least I am for sure) staying a week after school's out cuz I have my OR class and she has to stay here and work. Well, I am stalling so I better get back and learn about poverty rates and STDs and other fun things. I love to learn. Fun fact of the day...the STD of highest incidence in the US is Chlamydia, good to know eh? Also, Hepatitis B is the most common of all the hepatitises. So watch out! Jkin'

We gots new shingles

Hi people. It's been almost two weeks since I've written anything. So here ya go. School is getting better. All I have left is a take home test and then studying for two finals, nice! Not like it's easy, but it's not overly stressful. Then after next week, I am in the Principles of Operating Room Nursing class, so I'll have to wait the two extra weeks for my summer vacation. Last weekend I went with Chris to his fam.'s in Austin for his sister Angie's b-day. We ate food and cake and hung around. I played at the park with his little sister and watched her and Chris have a wrestling match, crazy kids, heehee. It's fun to go over there since I haven't seen them very much. Chris bought everyone lasagne for lunch and a play station for his sister cuz he's such a sweet brother :) Then we randomly saw my parents who where in Ausitn for Brice's track meet, so that was cool. Last week was hard cuz I had tons of project like things to do and my Skills test out, which was fine, but the relief to have it done with is awesome, whew, no more Skills class ever! yay. Yesterday was really fun cuz I did not have class or work and neither did Chris so I went to Rochester and we hung out and I saw the house he's moving into soon, it's really cool :) and it's in Chester, heehee, that name makes me laugh. My papa took Chris, Gavin, and I to Dos Amigos and it was yummmmy, thanks dad :) Mom was gone in the cities with my cuzzies so I missed her! I ended up staying in Rochester over night and I was abruptly woken up at 7:30 to the sounds of the singles being ripped off the roof and I looked out the window and saw them flying through the air, so yeh, we're getting new shingles. fun. Now I'm back here and at work. I just had a three hour research project fair at Community Memorial Hospital in Winona. We had to stand by our projects and explain it to people that came and such. It was BORING. I'm sleepy. I wonder if it would be inappropriate to lay down of the floor and just tell the kids in here to file their own tests. MMMkay, I'm gonna do homework. Yesterday after my classes got over I was walking down the hall to leave and Chris was sitting there with these flowers for me! He was very sneaky and found out from people how to get to my class. It was awesome, thanks honey!

My Lovely Weekend

Hey peeps. I thought I would tell you all about my fun weekend. On Friday, Casey, Amie, and I went to LaCrosse, this is a big event for us being that we never leave Winona. We were trying to make it to a movie but something was wrong with the map we got from mapquest or something cuz it was not where the map said it was. However, we found an Applebees and we were so hungry so it was realllly good. Poor Casey's car though, it's dying and it overheats, luckily it didn't blow up. Then we hung out at our place and watched a movie. It was good to see Amie again! Then Saturday I did homework, which wasn't the most fun thing ever, but I took a couple breaks with Casey and we went to Chula Vista, yum, I love that place. I got to spend all day Sunday with Chris and it was very fun :) We went to church and we walked around the lake and it was such a nice day, we went to Dairy Queen and played on swings and such. Then later we went to my fav. Chinese place here. yummmm. Then after he left I was forced to do some homework and then went to bed. So yeh, it was nice not to have to study for one weekend of my life. The rest of this semester will be busy, but not as busy as the end of last semester. I'm doing a class called Princles of the Operating Room Nursing from April 19th through May 19 to get 3 credits that I need. It'll make next year less busy, plus, I'm interested in the OR, so it'll be fun, hard, but fun. So, I'll have two extra weeks of school before I get summer break. I don't know if I got that job I interviewed for, but I find out this week probably, but it looks good, they have a bunch of openings anyway. Well I gotta start some homework, have a lovely day :)

Computer death

Well, it's been a busy week so far and will continue to be so, but I can't really think of anything interesting to say.....um.....well I guess the biggest thing that happened is that my hard drive in my comp. died so I lost everything I've ever saved to my computer. The guy at tech. support told me I was handling it very well, I guess everyone else comes in crying. But the thing is, I didn't really lose anything that will cause me great distress, I just have to re-do something from scratch that took me three hours to do, fun! Luckily, and thank goodness, I just happened to save all my picutres from the past two years on a disc last week, I probably would have cried if I lost all those, but I have em, yay! So now I have a computer with like nothing on it. Today I have a personal interview, as opposed to the group intereview I had last week, with Sunrise Cottages in Roch. so, that'll be fun. I leave to go there right after work. I am at work right now and this guy keeps kinda peeking over his shoulder and looking at me, now he is like hiding a sheet of paper, hmmm.....perhaps he is CHEATING, ugh, shoot me now....these kids are so dumb sometimes, I can seriously take the paper from him, turn it into the teacher and he will fail the class, but will I? No. I'll just go tell him to put it away. He's lucky I have mercy. jeesh. I tell ya. Man, I dunno, perhaps I am being unethical to not turn them in, I dunno. Well......I should probably go and be more attentive to the test taking people, it's the last day they can do this test, so people are more likely to cheat outta desparation to pass, hahah, sorry, not funny. Happy Late Anniversay Mom and Dad! My parents 23rd anniversay was yesterday and I am a bad daughter because I have now forgotten two years in a row. Well, I remembered, but a day late. I love you mom and dad and I'm so glad you got married and that you're my parents! heehee.

Whooooo, it's Spring

Hey everybody, look, I'm updating!!! I usually only do this at work, when I didn't bring anything to do and I'm just sitting here. So, that is the case, so here I am. Today is a beautiful day. I love it when I can wear flip flops :) Also, Kelsey and I brought the bikes outta hibernation today, fun fun. My Easter weekend was a blast, well it started off very boring and mostly consisted of me, alone in the apartment, trying to do homework. This did not work at all, so I finally just went home. I couldn't do homework there either so I went to Baker's Square with Heather and our good friend Meghan Finn who we hardly ever get to see. But just like always we had lots of fun talking and catching up with her. It was so fun to see you Meg! Good luck with that fancy job of yours, whoo. Then, Chris came over to my house after work and we colored eggs. My mom left some for us and he'd never done it before, so it was fun. He did a good job, heehee. Easter morning we found the eggs that we colored and found our easter baskets. I got fun stuff. I've decided there is no harm in finding Easter eggs even if you are 21. I suppose I will stop once I've graduated from college. Papa made french toast, yummy. And then we all went to church which we have at the civic center on Easter, which is awesome, I loved it. Chris came over and we played basketball with Gavin, that child is so big now, I have no chance! Then mom made a super awesome meal and that was lovely. Thanks mom!!!! Then my day was cut a little short and I kinda had to rush back to school to take an online test with a group. But overall it was a really fun day, but mostly because it's the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. How wonderful and amazing that he saved us by dying, but then came back to life, so the God we worship is alive! I love you Jesus, thank you!!!
I hope you all had a good Easter as well!!!! I am coming back to Rochester tomorrow for a group interview at Sunrise Cottages, which is an assissted living sorta place by my house. Welcome to the darkness

Hi, I switched my color to the black one as you can see. I have to change my backgroud pretty often since I get bored with it. This week is craziness and business, but if I do what I should, it should work out. I have hospital clinicals this week which I haven't had since early December. Then it is Spring break and I get to relax just a little maybe and sleep in and see everybody from the homeland of Rochie-ville. Heehee, I'm at work and a boy is swaying in his chair, he's like dancing almost, funny. Well in a silent room of people taking tests and staring at computers, a thing like someway dancing in their chair is pretty funny. Oh fun, someone's cell phone just went off and it was the Mario song, from the first nintendo, nice. Do do do do dododo, do do do. Hey, Century Marching Panthers (i.e. Heather/Meghan) remember the song that sounded like the second level of Mario? I think it was a pep band song. heehee. I loved that part. Oh that just reminds me of band and all the craziness of it. Remember the joy of taking attendance......X, here, Y, here, Z...... (someone talks in backgroud) OOOOOOOO!, we're starting over at A! What a splendid use of time. heheh sorry, that probably made no sense to a lot of people, but whatev. deal with it. MUAHAHAHAHAH. Playin'

WOwee, was yesterday a splendiferous day or what? Wow, I had to prolong studying twice to go outside. I walked first, then decided it was very necessary that I try out my new rollerblades and go around the lake. They go so smooth and fast, whew, fun. I would have practiced my amazing jumping and twisting skills, but I didn't wanna be a show off, muahahah. Then I decided to study finally and it was hard and I had to take like 500 naps becuase I cannot stay awake ever. News flash- turns out that the nintendo ringing cell phone didn't belong to anyone in here and a girl just came to ask if we had found her cell phone, turns out it was hers, so girl and cell phone reunite. Well I suppose I have nothing else to say except I cannot wait for nice weather and more opportunities for flip flops like yesterday. So, I shall go back to reading about wound care....ahhhh, nothing like a chapter full of pictures of pressure ulcers.

I don't even know

Hi peeps. I decided to write to you all while I am at work. Well...I had a really fun weekend....Friday, Casey, Heather, and I went to the b-ball game and we won! yay! We start playoffs tonight. WSU is the b-ball conference champs, yay!!! Games are so much fun to go, reminds me of highschool. Then on Sat. we just hung around and Casey and I decided to go to Quiznos and as we were leaving, an older lady came up to our car and asked if she could have a ride home. She didn't live to far from us, so I said sure. She talked our ears off the whole ride, it was pretty amusing. So yeh, that was interesting. Casey was like, "what if she had had a gun?" heehee. Then I randomly decided I needed to go home! So I did and my fam. minus Brice went to Golden Coral, yummmmmmmm. I love that bread. Then we watched a movie and then I went to sneakily surprise Chris after he closed at work. He usually calls me as he's leaving work, but I hid kinda near by and when I saw him come out, I called him. By the stuff I said, he eventually was like, "Are you here?" "Where are you?" hehhee, it was fun, I was very stalkerish, then I came outta hiding and we decided to go to Applebees, fun fun. Then the next morning we all went to church and then to My uncle and aunt Randy and Michelle's house to celebrate my two cousins birthday's. Alexandra turns 11 tomorrow and Grant turned 3 in Feb. they were so cute and it was so much fun to see everyone and play with my younger cousins. Chris came too and it's cool to have him get to meet people. My 6 year old cousin Sam like to jump on his lap, cuuuuute. Then my aunt and uncles figured out where Chris and I could go eat, so we got directions to Champps in Woodsbury, it was really good! Then we drove home and watched the acad. awards with my fam. I decided to sleep at home that night too cuz it got sooo late, so I drove back to Winona bright and early. This week has been busy, but ok, I have my second interview with the family my partner and I are working with today. I have to test their little boy on some stuff to see where he is developmentally, it's not too hard so hopefully I look like I know what I'm doing and hopefully he cooperates! Tonight I get to do more homework as usual, same with this weekend, fun! I get to come home I think next Friday for Spring break, so that'll be nice. I'M SORRY HEATHER!!! This is what Heather had to look at all week long. I simply cannot study all week and care about folding laundry and making the bed and a general picking up of stuff!!!!!!!!! We have the small path to the b-room though :)
